Geelong Manufacturing Council (GMC) proudly announces the City of Greater Geelong has become the Platinum Partner to deliver the 2024 GMC Technology and Innovation Summit, being held in Geelong on April 18.
Featuring industry experts and investors in thought-provoking discussions, the Summit will shine a light on the world of opportunity open to manufacturers, discuss technology and innovation opportunities and share Geelong and regional success stories.
“The City is a centre of excellence for advanced manufacturing. The Technology and Innovation Summit brings together bright minds and world-leading innovations to inspire future growth and celebrate our successes,” Greater Geelong Mayor Trent Sullivan said.
The Summit will showcase the world-leading manufacturing capabilities of the region and feature international market leaders sharing their expertise. “Geelong is a manufacturing city with high value global capabilities, and the Summit is key to achieving our community’s 30-year vision for the Geelong region to be recognised as a clever and creative city-region,” Councillor Sullivan added.
In welcoming the City’s key support, Mr Thys Heyns, Chair of Geelong Manufacturing Council, said 200 plus top investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers and executives join the event every second year for a full day of curated conversations and insightful discussions.
“The Technology and Innovation Summit is a world-class opportunity to hear from a diverse range of experts and connect and collaborate with your industry peers,” he said.
The City joins the Federal Department of Industry, Science and Resources and Breakthrough Victoria as supporters of the Summit.
