The City of Greater Geelong has welcomed the Technology and Innovation Summit for helping to drive business innovation as the region emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Geelong Deputy Mayor Trent Sullivan said the council was excited to be a major sponsor of what will be an insightful summit hosted by the Geelong Manufacturing Council in April.
“The region’s economic recovery from COVID-19, growth and long-term prosperity depend on the ability of businesses to adopt and integrate technology and innovation,” Cr Sullivan said.
“The Technology and Innovation Summit is a great opportunity to hear from a diverse range of experts and connect and collaborate with like-minded people.”
“Geelong business pivoted quickly to adapt to the pandemic and solidified our track record of embracing and driving innovation, which is why we are Australia’s only UNESCO Creative City of Design.”
“This summit will be key in helping to achieve our community’s 30-year vision for the Geelong region to be recognised as ‘clever and creative’.”
The Technology and Innovation Summit is on April 21.
